One type of filter with 2 carbon layers of materials and a melt blown layer within the filter supplied is for use in our dual ventilated masks the VitaAire 2 Adult & Teen Collections, the other type of filter used in the VitaAire 1 Unisex series, which uses a PM2.5 replaceable carbon activated filter with non-woven melt blown materials, this filter has one of it's 5 protective Layers being a carbon active layer. These filters are there for a reason and that reason is intended to be there for your added protection. Both are used in combination with Exhalation valves.
Filters provided in our VitaWear masks are all 5 Layer active carbon filters. This filtering apparatus system uses a filtering method which employs “chemical adsorption”, which means particulates react, adhere to and remain stuck to the surface of the layers of active carbon filters within the filter pad. This enables our VitaWear masks to block out very fine particles of dust, pollen, smog, foul odors, smoke, exhaust fumes and many other air born pollutants, even most cold and flu viruses. VitaWear Canada mask filters, when used properly and replaced within the specified time usage periods, are designed to block out and protect the user from at least 88% and up to 98% of all of the above noted particulates.
